PRESS RELEASE: CRESTA HOTELS EMBARKS ON KYC CAMPAIGN FOR LOYALTY CUSTOMERS

Cresta Marakanelo Limited, has made a call to all members of their Cresta Hotels loyalty programme across Botswana to update their information to ensure that their details are accurate and that their Know Your Customer (KYC) records are accurate. Cresta Marakanelo Limited is the operating company for the 11 Cresta Hotels in Botswana, and has since its establishment maintained its position as a dominant player with the largest geographical footprint, that spans across the country.

Lorato Tebogo, the Head of Marketing and Communications at Cresta Marakanelo Limited, emphasized the importance of KYC and the benefits it offers to customers. "As a customer-centric organisation, we value the trust and loyalty our guests place in us. Updating KYC information allows us to better understand their preferences, needs, and expectations, enabling us to provide tailor-made experiences that exceed their expectations," said Tebogo.

To facilitate the KYC update process, loyalty subscribers with either active, dormant and expired cards are encouraged to go to their customer portals at www.crestahotels.com or simply follow the link https://hcst.loyaltyplus.aero/hcstloyalty/index.jsf to update their details. Guests are also encouraged to visit the Cresta Hotels social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates and instructions on how to update their KYC information.

“This campaign will run until end of July 2023, and for the whole month of July we have reduced fees for any customer looking to sign up or renew their membership, with the new registration fee reduced to P299 and the renewal fee to P199, as an incentive for more customers to update their information,” said Tebogo.

Through the Cresta Hotels loyalty programme, customers are eligible for various offers, discounts, rewards and incentives. Loyalty programme members accrue up to 50% discounts on accommodation rates on weekends and 20% on weekdays, as well as complementary bed nights and meals within the hotel chain based on their patronage.

“We understand that our loyal customers have been with us for a long time, and in that period some of their names, phone numbers or email addresses may have changed. This has necessitated the need for a group wide KYC campaign, to ensure that all customer information for our loyalty members is correct and that they can access relevant information directed to them including on offers, rewards and accrued benefits.”

By collecting accurate customer information, Cresta Hotels can anticipate individual preferences, offer personalized amenities, and curate unforgettable experiences for their guests. Moreover, KYC compliance ensures the safety and security of guests by preventing the misappropriation of accrued benefits and unauthorised use of member cards and details at the hotels.
